Rental Conditions

1) REQUIREMENTS

The driver of the vehicle undertakes not to provide false information regarding his or her personal data and possession of all driving licence requirements. The rental ends by 9.00 a.m. of the following day after which time an extra day shall be charged. Circulation is only on the island of Ischia. Customers must be at least 21 years of age and in possession of a driving licence issued at least two years ago. Customers of European nationality must have an A + B driving licence to drive scooters. Non-European customers must have an International Driving Licence + A+B Driving Licence to drive the scooters. All driving licences must always be accompanied by a valid identity document.

2) RCT-INSURANCE

Nausicaarent’s vehicle insurance includes third party civil liability (RCT), as provided for by the law in force in the country where the car is registered. The Client also assumes all risks inherent to or even related to the theft or robbery of the vehicle, knowing that he/she is solely responsible for its safekeeping and circulation, having use and possession of it and bearing the costs of repairs; such as accidental falls by scooters, scratches, breakages and other damages to the vehicle. The Client is obliged to immediately notify Nausicaarent of any road accident or damage caused directly or indirectly by immediately contacting the telephone numbers enclosed with the contract and not to remove the vehicles. The Client undertakes not to make any declarations of liability or uncertainties regarding the dynamics of the accident in any case or circumstance. The Client also undertakes to cooperate fully with the Lessor and its insurers in all disputes arising from the use of the rented vehicle. Failure to comply with this OBLIGATION shall be the responsibility of the lease holder, assuming all civil, criminal and economic liability. In any case, if the circulation of the vehicle is interdicted due to causes directly or indirectly attributable to the Client, the Client shall continue to pay the rental fee until normal authorisation to circulate the vehicle is restored. The Client shall also be liable for the consequences of legal violations relating to the circulation of the rented vehicle.

The Client undertakes not to make any declarations of liability or uncertainty regarding the dynamics of the accident in any case or circumstance. The Client also undertakes to cooperate fully with the Lessor and its insurers in all disputes arising from the use of the rented vehicle.

3) SANCTIONS – LIABILITY

The Lessee undertakes to observe traffic signs and in particular to avoid driving and parking in prohibited areas. Should this not be the case, the Lessor is expressly authorised, pursuant to Article 1 of these General Terms and Conditions, to charge the amount to the credit card provided by the Client upon signing the contract. Upon the occurrence of the cases referred to in the preceding points and in order to exclude any liability, the Lessor shall be entitled to promptly produce to the competent Authorities the Registers and Documents attesting to the identity of the User of the Vehicle at the time of the dispute.
The Client expressly authorises the Lessor to charge on the Card presented at the time of signing the contract all expenses NOT known or related to damage, theft, shelter expenses, washing, tyre punctures, loss of keys, helmets, breakage of car or scooter accessories also for compensation penalties, fines, management expenses, vehicle restoration costs,
if returned at the end of the rental period with indelible stains and/or burns, disposal costs for items left on the vehicle by the customer and all other rental fees, the customer is obliged to reimburse the value and any resulting amount after the end of the rental contract. In the event of a breakdown, the customer will contact Nausicaa rent customer service for assistance and/or possible replacement of the vehicle.
Daily prices are subject to a maximum increase of 30% on all weekends of the year and the entire month of August
